Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Applies to: Thrift Sweeper: Comps Scanner (Android)

Overview

Thrift Sweeper: Comps Scanner ("the app") is an in-store sourcing scanner for resale professionals. It reads product barcodes and tags with your device camera, looks up recent sold-listing market data, and calculates potential profit. This policy explains what information the app handles.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email address, or payment details, and does not contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Data stored on your device

Scan history, saved items, haul lists, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device except when the app requests current market pricing data. Uninstalling the app removes this data.

Network requests

The app contacts its own servers solely to retrieve anonymous, aggregated market pricing data for scanned products. These requests are not linked to you personally and do not include your camera images, device identifiers, or location.

Purchases

Optional upgrades are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details. Google's own privacy policy governs those transactions.

Camera permission

The camera is used only in-app, while scanning, to read barcodes and labels. No camera images or video are stored or transmitted.

Children

The app is intended for adult resale professionals and is rated for ages 18+.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
